From February 18th to June 13th, 2016, the Neue Galerie in New York will be showcasing an exhibit titled, Munch and Expressionism. The exhibit will examine Edvard Munch’s influence on his German and Austrian contemporaries. The show will offer a different perspective on Edvard Munch's The Scream, as it has become a symbol of modern angst according to the Neue Galerie's webpage.
The exhibition will show approximately 35 paintings and 50 works on paper from various types of worldwide collections. This will be a memorable event that will focus on Munch’s impact on German and Austrian artists of the period within an Expressionist context.
